Do we know who advises King Charles on matters related to New Zealand? Dame Kiri? Or does he have an unbiased representative? Maori (Nga Puhi, as I understand it) have just sent a letter asking the king to discipline our coalition government because their Treaty Gravy Train is under threat. Mentioning this because I believe it's important that Charles gets a well-balanced briefing before he weighs in on the subject.

The Governor General is Charlie's rep here and he will not act on any matter regarding NZ. She will. (heaven help us) But the simple matter is that the only time the GG can act without the Prime Minister's say so, is if the PM loses a confidence vote. Sir John Kerr is still pillioried for his decision to sack Gough Whitlam. He was 100% correct in his decision. The public obviously agreed with him as they chucked Whitlam out
